Adoptionspolitisk Forum, Adopterede 30+, Projekt Planet Love og Against Child Trafficking inviterer til symposium om adoption og rettigheder i Danmark.

På trods af hundredtusindvis af transnationale adoptioner, primært fra ikke-vestlige lande til Vesten, gennem de sidste 60 år, har forholdene omkring adopteredes rettigheder været et sjældent debatteret emne.

Dette arrangement præsenterer:
Stine Jørgensen, juridisk forsker indenfor børn og unges sociale rettigheder herunder transnational adoption, vil gennemgå forskellen mellem FNs Børnekonventionen, Haagerkonventionen og den danske retspraksis med henblik på at afklare børns rettigheder til ligestilling, privatliv og familieliv.

Arun Dohle, grundlægger af Against Child Trafficing (ACT), vil gennemgå status for sagerne om Amy og Masho – to adopterede fra Etiopien, som begge blev anbragt uden for adoptivhjemmet. ACT fører på vegne af deres familie retssager i et forsøg på at blive part i deres børns liv.
Der vil efterfølgende være mulighed for spørgsmål til de to oplægsholdere.

Præsentation af deltagere:
Stine Jørgensen er prodekan for uddannelse ved Det Juridiske Fakultet, KU. Hun er juridisk forsker ved WELMA centret, som adresserer og analyserer de komplekse retlige problemstillinger, der opstår i forholdet mellem den enkelte borger, samfundet og markedet. Stine Jørgensen har sit primære forskningsområde inden for socialret, børn og unges sociale rettigheder samt europæisk socialret. Hun er i øjeblikket aktiv i forskning omhandlende diskrimination og ligestilling, børns ret som borger i EU og børns ret til en grundlæggende uddannelse.

Arun Dohle er grundlægger af Against Child Trafficing (ACT) – En international børnerettighedsorganisation som arbejder mod kommercialisering af børn, især i markedet for børn til transnationale adoption. ACT arbejder for fuld gennemførelse af FNs Børnekonvention (UNCRC), som først og fremmest giver børn ret til at blive passet af deres forældre.

Michaela Petri begyndte som 3-årig at spille blokfløjte, og blev allerede som 5-årig spillet i dansk radio. I 1969 fik hun sin debut som koncertsolist i Tivolis koncertsal. Siden da har Michaela Petri turneret alle kontinenter – hun har optrådt i de mest berømte koncertsale i verden samt mange festivaler.

Stine Jørgensen is Associate Dean of Education at the Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen. Stine is a scholar of Law at the WELMA centre, which addresses and analyse complex legal problems that occur in the relationship between citizens, society and market. Stine Jørgensen’s primary area of research is within social security law, children’s and young people’s social rights and European social security law. At the moment she is researching in discrimination and equal rights, children’s rights as citizens of EU and children’s rights to an education.

Arun Dohle is co founder of Against Child Trafficing (ACT) – An international child rights organisation whose primary focus is the fight against the commodification of children, especially opposing the market in children for intercountry adoption. ACT is working to full implementation of the UN Convention on the rights of the child (UNCRC), which primarily gives children the right to be cared for by their parents.

Michala Petri began playing the recorder at the age of three and could be heard for the first time on Danish radio by the age of five. She made her debut as a concert soloist in 1969 at the Tivoli Concert Hall. Since then, the Danish artist has toured all the continents, and has appeared in the most famous concert halls in the world and many festivals.
